Job description

In this role, you will work with a team of passionate individuals in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. You will provide expert knowledge and support to their International Marketing team, ensuring a world-class communications service.  

You are a Specialist in Email and SMS Communication and related campaign management and will manage day-to-day tasks, as well as projects and initiatives that will drive business value from a player communications journey perspective. 

Working with various business partners in a fast-paced environment, you will push the most strategic, relevant and current email and sms best practices to drive continuous improvement on communication engagement and delivery metrics.

Duties include, but not limited to:

Responsible for the day-to-day execution of communication marketing programs including Email, SMS and RMMs, amongst others, in support of company objectives including:

- Delivery of daily tasks as per client’s expectations

- Monitor all campaign progress daily and provide weekly reports and updates, including recommendations

- Monitor seed accounts and create new seed accounts to ensure effective delivery of mail sends and seeds

- Collaborating with team members to enhance communication-marketing strategies

Provide technical solutions to customer communication journeys and enhancements

Responsible for developing, implementing, and managing an enterprise email and SMS marketing program

Collaborating with team members to enhance communication journeys and marketing strategies

Domain and IP management

Optimise email and SMS delivery strategies

Responsible for the development, implementation, and reporting of email and SMS campaign performance and overall effectiveness

Offers input and recommendations based on communication results and world trends

Maintain existing email templates

Execute and code new email templates in accordance with best practices, including full testing before going live

Advise on best practise with regards communication strategies including testing, delivery, automation capabilities and technically driven solutions for efficiency  gains

Stay current with best practices, strategies, and industry standards related to email - ensures best practices through email compliance and spam regulation (CAN/SPAM) and shares email program insights and recommendations with marketing managers and colleagues

Recommend updates from both an infrastructure and provider and facilitates integration

Essential Criteria:

• A minimum of three years’ proven work experience as an Email Communications Specialist
• Hands on experience with HTML
• Knowledge and proficiency in using communication or email/CRM systems such as MailChimp, Exact Target, SendGrid, Striata, Touchbase Pro and so on
• Strong analytical and technical skills – demonstrated ability and interest in working with data segmentation and standard email metrics
• Knowledge/understanding of responsive design
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Relevant qualification in Business/Marketing

Desirable Criteria:

• Adept at HTML and CSS coding for emails
• Good understanding of Databases, Database Concepts, SQL and Segmentation
• Knowledge and experience in other social media platforms and additional marketing channels
