Job description

They are looking for a Junior Developer to join their team and be responsible for support, stabilizing and retiring an existing legacy systems and developing internal business systems

Responsibilities include:

Day to day support on several client applications (websites, web services, windows services, console applications).

Lead the Business Systems Development team by providing guidance on system and application architecture following industry standards and best practices.

Design, develop, deploy and document new solutions/applications for internal use. (These include C# Console apps, Silverlight 4 web apps, ASP.NET web apps)

Recover applications from failures and provide feedback to internal staff accordingly.

Decommission unused legacy client applications.

Requirements

BComSci or BCom IT degree or equivalent in Information Technology or a recognised IT or Diploma (BTech)

At least 1 – 2 year development experience.

Good working knowledge of .Net 2.0, Net 3.0, Net 3.5.

Experience in C# applications development.

Experience in SQL Server database development.

Should be proficient in these technologies:
Visual Studio IDE (2010)
ASP.NET (web applications /web services)
C# applications (console applications / Windows services)
SQL Server (2005/2008)
IIS (Configuring web sites and applications)
Authentication / security
Reporting Services reports

Should be familiar with these technologies:

SharePoint 2010
Silverlight
WCF services
WCF RIA services
MVVM architecture used for Silverlight applications
PowerShell scripting would be advantageous
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse people (cultures, personalities)
Clear verbal and written communication skills, including a high level of business English grammar
Enthusiastic and confident individual with the ability to interact well with people of all levels personally and professionally
High energy levels and a strong team player
Self-driven, hands on executor and results oriented individual
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills essential
